SHUQUALAK — Elizabeth Hickman, 80, died April 30, 2013, at Louisville Healthcare. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Jerusalem Apostolic Church with Rod Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation is today at Lee-Sykes Funeral Chapel in Macon. Mrs. Hickman was born Jan. 14, 1933, to the late Farris and Amanda Brookshire. She was a member of Shuqualak Church of God and was formerly employed with Blue Bell Manufacturing. She attended Harris High School and Alcorn Agriculture College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lavander Brookshire; and sisters, Idella Hughes and Alice Williams. Survivors include her children, Yvonna Anita McNeese and Eddie Glenn Hickman, both of Shuqualak, Farris Brookshire of Cincinnati and Roger Hickman of Columbus; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Kenny King, Lenzie Hunt, Shawn Poe, Jimmy King, John Lee Robinson and Earl Lee Dew.
