MACON — Margie Ree Stevens, 70, died June 14, 2013, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Zebedee Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah UM Church Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1-5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Ms. Stevens was born July 11, 1942, to the late Howard Poindexter and Edith Ramsey. She was formerly employed as a factory worker and a cook. She was a member of Mt. Mariah Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Jessie and Leroy Stevens; and brothers, Eddie Ramsey and Frank Clay. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Ann Lewis of Shuqualak, Sharee Stevens and LaVella Denise Holder, both of Macon and Toya O’Meka of Meridian; sons, Robert Nelson Stevens Jr. of Macon and Michael Devell Stevens of Columbus; sisters, Mary Ramsey of Macon and Betty Gunn of Columbus; brothers, Ferda Clay of Rocksford, Ill., Julius Clay of Scooba and Jessie Clay of Shuqualak; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
