WEST POINT — Herbert Friesen, 84, died June 14, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. at West Point Mennonite Church with Mark Koehn, Errol Wedel and Brad Wedel officiating. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Friesen was born Sept. 2, 1928, to the late Helen Fleming and Bernard K. Friesen. He was a member of West Point Mennonite Church. He was a farmer and owned a lawn service. Survivors include his wife, Nora Friesen of West Point; daughters, Marilda O’Bryant of West Point, Marilyn Nihols of Hiawatha, Kan., and Ronda Wedel of Hesperia, Calif.; son, Randy Friesen of Brooksville; sisters, Bernettie Loewen of Ginger, Ala., Clara Koehn of Livingston, Calif., and Mabel Cryan of Reno, Nev.; and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to North Mississippi Medical Center-Inpatient Hospice, 830 South Gloster St., Tupelo, MS 38801.
