RICHMOND, Va. — Louise Odom Hickman, 92, died July 23, 2013, at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Clarence Thompson, Ricky Bowen and Akil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1-3 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 p.m. until service at the funeral home. Mrs. Hickman was born June 20, 1921, in Townley, Ala., to the late Arthur Odom and Rena Harris Odom. She retired as co-owner of Hickman’s Grocery Store in Aberdeen. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Aberdeen and Life Church in Richmond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence O’Dell Hickman; brother, George Harrell Odom; and one grandchild. Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Jean Hicks of Richmond, Audrey Harolyn Hatley of Tupelo, and Sandra Louise Weeks of Brandon; son, Clarence O’Kelly Hickman of Oxford; sister, Mae Blair of Phoenix; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
