BROOKSVILLE — L.M. Bush, 70, died April 15, 2014, at his residence. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Brooksville, with the Rev. Mack young officiating. Visitation is today from noon-6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services in Columbus. Mr. Bush was born Jan. 2, 1944, in Cliftonville, to Elijah Bush Sr. and the late Hattie Pearl Bush. He was formerly employed as a bus driver for Noxubee County School District and was a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Christine Mitchell Bush of Brooksville; children, Vern Mitchell, Edward Bush and Donnie Bush, all of West Point, Lawrence Bush, Terry Bush and Dennis Bush, all of Brooksville, Richard Bush and Willie Bush, both of Starkville, Linda Bush and Patrick Bush, both of Columbus; siblings, Johnny Bush and Albert Bush, both of Brooksville, Elijah Bush Jr. and Bennie Bush, both of Macon, Jimmie Bush of Hammond, La., Glennie Epps and Bernice Cockrell, both of Columbus, Vera Bush Jordan, Doris Thomas and Lee Thomas, all of Topeka, Kan.;22 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Shun Calvert, Farrell Calvert, Glen Calvert, Verster Calvert, Leroy Conner and Jimmy Clark.
