COLUMBUS — Boyd Wayne Lewis, 69, died April 25, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services are Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Pickle Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation is one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. Lewis was born on Jan. 16, 1945, in Lamar County, Ala., to the late Floyd Cannon and Campie Mae Pickle Lewis. He was formerly employed as a maintenance employee for Ceco Building Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Ray Lewis; and one granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Bernice Lewis of Columbus; daughters, Carolyn Mae Humbers of Steens and Kathy Marie Jackson of Bartlesville, Okla.; son, Doyle Lewis of Columbus; stepson, Elvis Eugene Boykin of Columbus; sister, Mamie Jean Boykin of Milwaukee, Wis.; brother, Doyce Gene Lewis of Hamilton; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gregory Jackson, Isaac Humbers, Coty Lewis, Randy Hayward Jr., Randy Hayward Sr. and Randy Lucas.
