GUIN, Ala. — Lee Roy Vaughn, 85, died April 24, 2014, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin. Services are today at 3 p.m. at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Cummins and Kenny Hatcher officiating. Burial will be at the Guin City Cemetery. Mr. Vaughn was born Jan. 23, 1929, in Marion County, Ala., to the late Milligan and Arie Etta Blake Vaughn. He was formerly the owner of Vaughn’s Used Cars and served in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Emma Gene Hodges, Renae Morrow and Lucille Gist; brothers, David T. Joy, Alvis, Alvin and Earnest Vaughn; and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Vaughn of Guin; daughters, Glenda Vaughn and Dianne Pearson, both of Cullman, Ala., and Gloria Butler of Columbus; son, Randall Vaughn of Guin; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
