STARKVILLE — Mildred Floyd Stickley died Oct. 24, 2014, at Oktibbeha County Hospital. Memorial services are 11:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Starkville. Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Floyd family plot in Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Virgina. Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is entrusted with arrangements. Mrs. Stickley was the daughter of the late Robert Henry Floyd and Julia Hartless Floyd. She was a graduate of Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Virginia, and a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was formerly employed as a medical record professional at Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She attended First Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen R. Stickley Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Heather Stickley Cable of Olive Branch and Holly Stickley Crystal of Jackson; sisters, Meta F. Loudermilk of Akron, Ohio, Alice F. Myers of Columbus, Ohio, Louise F. Weber of Gahanna, Ohio, Magdalene F. Traster of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Eula F. Wade of Richboro, Pennsylvania, and Peggy F. Blankenship of Carmichael, California; and one grandson.
