SMITHVILLE — Billy D. Ford, 77, died May 23, 2015, at his residence. Services are 3 pm Monday at Cleveland- Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Dudley Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Lann Cemetery. Visitation is 1-2:45 p.m. before service time at the funeral home. Mr. Ford was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Itawamba County, to the late Dew and Ora Wheeler Ford. He was formerly employed as a special investigator for the United States Department of Agriculture and Production Credit Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Harold Ford; and one sister, Pansy Harper. He is survived by his wife, Mary Charles Reeves Ford; sons, Richard Ford of Smithville and Ramie Ford of Clinton; daughter, Allison Ford-Wade of Oxford; five grandchildren; and sisters, Dot Burrow of Amory and Betty Thompson of Smithville. Pallbearers are Jerry Frederick, Jackie Palmer, Roger Cadden, Alan Clay, Ralph Dill and Jack Horn. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
