Philip Neal Locke, 47, of Sulligent, AL passed away October, 4, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, October, 7, 2015 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Harding officiating. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Locke was born on June 28, 1968 to Danny Locke and Rhonda Morrison in Selma, AL. He moved to Sulligent about a year and a half ago from Columbus. Mr. Locke was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. He was a Boy Scout for several years, and he graduated from Caledonia High School. Mr. Locke was a carpenter and worked in construction for about 20 years. He loved his family and friends, and he loved the Lord and read his Bible every day. Mr. Locke always enjoyed a good joke, liked working with wood and building, loved history, and trivia. He was much loved by his family and loved ones and will be greatly missed. Mr. Locke is preceded in death by his grandparents-Charles and Ella Morrison, Columbus, MS; grandparents-Frank and Leatha Locke, Selma, AL; and brother-Randall Locke. He is survived by his mother-Rhonda Morrison, Columbus, MS; father-Danny Locke Strong, ME; daughter-Mercede (Brian) Plumb, Columbus, MS; grandsons-Karter Plumb, Columbus, MS; expected grandchild- Korbin Plumb; sister-Wendy (Scott Westbrook) Henderson, Caledonia, MS; friend-Susan Parker; and the woman he loved-Barbara Dillard, Sulligent, AL. Pallbearers will be Thomas Fowler, Brian Plumb, Jason Garrison, Blake Burke, Dakota Wright, and Dylan Pounders. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Westbrook, Gary Westbrook, Jomie Robinson, Micheal Fowler, Matt Fowler, Cody Dillard, Chase Henderson, and Alexander Howard.
