SMITHVILLE — Barbara Outlaw Cook, 75, died Feb. 1, 2016, at her residence. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Jim Herrington and James R. Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Visitation is today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cook was born March 29, 1940, to the late Jonas Quitman Outlaw and Daisy Williams Outlaw in Aberdeen. She was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and was previously employed as a switchboard operator for Walker Manufacturing. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded, she was preceded in death by her son, Wade Murff Cook II; brothers, Lyndon Outlaw, Joel Outlaw, Milton Outlaw, Merritt Outlaw and Larry Outlaw; and sister, Dorothy Outlaw Bolding Pruitt. She is survived by her husband, Wade Cook of Smithville; son, Kenneth Cook of Smithville; sister, Sheron Outlaw Parten of Hatley; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Easterling, Dalton Easterling, Charles Parten, James Blaylock, Ed Hunter and Richard Bridges.
