COLUMBUS — Thomas Donald “Don” Savely, 82, died Feb. 1, 2016, at Windsor Nursing Home. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Woodland Baptist Church with Shelby Hazzard officiating. Burial will follow in Millport City Cemetery in Millport, Alabama. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Mr. Savely was born Dec. 28, 1933, to the late Thomas Scott and Mary Elizabeth Hodo Savely. He attended Millport High School and University of Alabama, and received his bachelor’s degree from Livingston University. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and was co-owner of O.K. Tire Center in Columbus. He also worked for Water’s Truck and Tractor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Pryor Savely; and sisters, Eugenia Hamilton and Scottie Smith. He is survived by his sons, Keith Savely and Donnie Savely, both of Columbus and Scott Savely of Austin, Texas; daughter ,Sherry Kinard of Katy, Texas; and five grandchildren.
