SULLIGENT, Ala. — Jimmy Kell, 66, died April 21, 2016, at his residence. Services are 2 p.m. today at Union Chapel Baptist Church with BJ Mills and James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Arrangments are entrusted to Otts Funeral Home. Mr. Kell was born Oct. 1, 1949, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Ervin and Ruby Merchant Kell. He was a U.S. Army and Alabama National Guard veteran. He was formerly employed with Arvin in Fayette, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Billy Kell and Jackie Kell; and two sisters, Elwanda Kell and Judy Gann. He is survived by wife, Pauline Kell of Sulligent; sons, Jeremy Kell and Evan Conrad, both of Sulligent; daughters, Sarah Nethery and Pam Lockhart, both of Sulligent; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Galloway of Vernon, Mary Lou Pennington, Shelia Northington and Sandra Taylor, all of Sulligent. Pallbearers are the American Legion Post #32, Skyler Nethery, Grant Lockhart, Michael Kell, Derrick Northington and Robert Gann.
