TUPELO — Gerald Chester “Jerry” Krueger, 95, died Dec. 5, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with the Rev. Roger Puhr, Doyce Gunter, Governor Mays and Tommy Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in Lamar County Memorial Gardens in Vernon, Alabama. Visitation is form 4-6 p.m. today and one hour prior to services. Mr. Krueger was born May 8, 1921, to the late Albert and Myrtle Bidwell Krueger. He graduated from Oconto High School in Oconto, Wisconsin, and graduated from Marinette Normal School. He owned the Brookside Feed Store and was previously employed as a school principal and insurance agency manager with Liberty National Life Insurance Company. He served in the U.S. Army, earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Mae Laduron and Nell McCloud; and brothers, Clyde and Marvin. He is survived by his children, Lynn Krueger of Spanish Fort, Alabama, and Debbie Krueger Wells; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Daniel Krueger, David Clark, Julian Motes, Mike McCloud and Charles Ray McCloud.
