SHUQUALAK — John Jefferson “Jeff” Prince, 83, died June 22, 2017, at the Kemper County Care Center in DeKalb. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with Gerald Butler officiating. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Prince was born July 26, 1933, in Shuqualak, to the late John Randolph and Carolyn Boggess Prince. He attended the Shuqualak School and was a member of Shuqualak Baptist Church. He was formerly employed at the State Lime Plant in Macon and the Shuqualak Lumber Company until his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, John J. Prince and Ben Prince; and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Britty Thompson Prince of Shuqualak; one son, Jesse Joe Prince of Shuqualak; two sisters, Ray Davis of Collinsville and Jane Prince of Meridian; one brother, John R. Prince, Jr. of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
