MACON — Jimmy Leroy Elkins, 79, died Dec. 2, 2017, at Noxubee County Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Cockrell Funeral Home. Mr. Elkins was born April 2, 1938, to the late Ina Titjen and Mark A. Elkins. He was employed as a rancher and as a rodeo cowboy. He was a member of the American Cowboy Association and the Professional Cowboy Association Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints in Grants, New Mexico. He is survived by his daughters, Gayla Campbell of Macon and Trisha Elkins of Terry; sons, Allan Elkins of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Pardue Elkins of Bluewater, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Pioneer Memorial Cemetery, PO Box 82, Bluewater, NM 87005.
