MACON — Nancy Lynn Martin Bell, 83, died Dec. 6, 2017, at the Pavilion Senior Living Rehabilitation & Long Term Care Center in Lebanon, Tennessee. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cockrell Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Jarrett officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bell was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Macon, to the late Leonard and Ethel Mae Martin. She was a graduate of Macon High School, Millsaps College and Athens State College. She was formerly employed as an elementary school teacher and principal and was a member of First Baptist Church in Macon. She also attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dudley Bell and sister, Margie Mae Martin. She is survived by her sons, William Dudley Bell, Jr. and Hugh Martin Bell; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Nancy Bell Memorial for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
