MACON — Pennsylvania Vandevender Clark, 97, died Jan. 11, 2018, at her residence. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Butler Pentecostal Church near Shuqualak with Allen Eaves officiating. Interment followed in Butler Cemetery. Visitation was from 12:30-2 p.m. at the church. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Clark was born on Aug. 8, 1920, in Winston County, to the late Earnest Christopher and Onie Patterson Vandevender. She attended Winston County public schools. She was formerly employed as a presser with the Macon Garment Factory. She also worked with American Bosch and Cal-Jac, from which she retired. She attended Butler Pentecostal Church and Macon Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Clark; son, Sammy Clark; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her five children, Mary Goodin, Bell Higginbotham, Rachell Collins, Robert Clark and Glenn Clark; six siblings, Christeen Clark, Elvis Vandevender, Bob Vandevender, Elvin Vandevender, Punk Vandevender and Earnestine Lee; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
