COLUMBUS ó Mary Frances Glass, 95, died Feb. 4, 2018, in McCalla, Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Gate MB Church of Columbus with Dr. James A. Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today from 3-8 p.m. at Carterís of Columbus. Mrs. Glass was born in Noxubee County on Aug. 23, 1922, to the late York Jamison and Catherine Thomas. She was formerly employed by Columbus City Schools as a cook. She was a member of Zion Gate MB church and Eastern Stars OES Floral Chapter #3. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, John Charlie Glass Sr.; siblings, Emmit Thomas, Henry Gilmore, Sallie Mae Evans, William Barry, Willie Mae Dantzler, Millie Perry, Lillie Carter, Sally Jethrow, Alice B. Alexander, Robert Jamison, William Jamison and Sandy Jamison. She is survived by her children, Charlene Coleman-Hudson of Reform, Alabama, John Charlie Glass Jr. of Tupelo and Sammie Glass of White Plain, Maryland; siblings, Annie Vaughn of Columbus, Lubertha Brooks of Kankakee, Illinois and Mary Hargrove of Racine, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
