REFORM, Ala. — Walter H. “Hulley” Wheat, 79, died Feb. 8, 2018, at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab. Services will be 6 p.m. Saturday at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George McLaurine officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will immediately following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Wheat was born in Reform, Alabama on Aug. 10, 1938, to the late Claudie Elijah Wheat and Martha Gertrude Connell Wheat. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Central Foundry and Tamco. He was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church of Reform. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Ross Wheat. He is survived by his spouse, Pat Reagan Wheat of Reform, Alabama; daughter, Christy Wheat of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Walter Curtis Wheat of Reform, Alabama; sister, Doris Fay Thornton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
