OBITUARY

 

Bobby Lang

 

 

West Point, MS - Mr. Robert “Bobby” Lang, 83, passed away on March 5, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Smith officiating and assisted by Reverend R.C. Bryan. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home. Mr. Bobby was born on June 4, 1934, in Electric Mills in Kemper County, the son of the late Clyde Hulon and Mary Elizabeth Walker Lang. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in West Point. He worked as a welder for Babcock and Wilcox in West Point for 26 years and was an avid outdoorsmen and an accomplished fisherman. He married Billie Mae Everett Lang on May 12, 2001, in Money, MS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Brown Lang; 4 sisters: Louise Warren, Doris Cazzato, Marie Sanschagrin, and Jean Williams and 3 brothers: Clyde, Wylie, and Harold Lang. Survivors include His Wife, Billie Lang of West Point; one brother, Carter Lang (Linda) of West Point: three Sisters-In-Law: Elizabeth Lang of Pattison, Helen Lang of West Point and Christine Alderman of Clinton: two Brothers-In-Law: Tommy Everett (Liz) of Grenada and Eugene Everett (Gloria) of Greenwood: a number of nieces, nephews, and other of extended family and Canine Companion: Susie. Pallbearers will be Jim Lang, Dennis Lang, Chris Lang, Billy Gibson, Drake Flowers and Ronald Clayton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Hospice Unit of North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Friends at Trinity Baptist Church, and Former Co-Workers at Babcock and Wilcox.
