WEST POINT — Ramona Harrison Smith, 87, died March 10, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Herndon officiating and Candis Langley assisting. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Ramona was born in Mountain Aire, New Mexico, to the late William Carroll and Rhoda Belle Thorpe Harrison. She was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse in California and was a practicing Baptist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack F. Woods Sr. and Dale Smith; sisters, Gertrude Huey, Juanita Underwood, Pearl Lary and Annie Blankenheim; and brothers, Carroll W., Earl S., and Ronnie Gene Harrison. She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Raye Wimmer of Anderson, California; sons, Jesse Allen Woods of Baxter, Minnesota and Jack F. Woods Jr. of West Point; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Randle Whitmire, Scott O’Brian, Brandon Wilmeth, Ben Langley, Jackson Langley and Kevin McMahan.
