COLUMBUS — Nathalia Claudette “Faye” Williams, 78, died Sept. 6, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home and Crematory, Second Avenue location is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 10, 1940, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Walter C. and Lillian Strickland Nettles Sr. She was formerly employed as an office manager for Dr. Buddy Livingston and Dr. Katherine Gray. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Everette Williams Sr.; and son, Thomas Everette Williams Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Burchfield of Columbus; sisters, Dorcas Nettles of Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina; brother, Walter Nettles Jr. of Columbus; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
