PHEBA — Bobby Joe McKee, 66, died Sept. 11, 2018, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pheba Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Pheba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McKee was born Sept. 26, 1951, in West Point, to the late Helen Marie Kuykendall and Thurman McKee. He was formerly employed as a lineman with TVA and in the logging business. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Wayne McKee. He is survived by his wife, Jan McKee of Pheba; son, Lane McKee of Pheba; daughter, Stephnie Smith of Maben; brothers, Jimmy McKee, Curtis McKee and Steve McKee, all of Pheba; sisters, Margie Dean Hodges of Mathiston, Diane Miles of Maben, Vickie Moore of Montpelier and Martha Gail Stafford of West Point; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lane McKee, Bo McKee, Ashley Hodges, Brent Miles, Wade Miles, Preston McKee, Ryan Moore, Brock Carter, Jay McKee, Jamie McKee and Chris McKee. Memorials may be made to Pheba Cemetery, c/o Becky McNeel, P.O. Box, Pheba, MS 39755 or to the American Cancer Society, 607 W. Main St., Tupelo, MS 38804.
