REFORM, Ala. — Walter Monroe “Pop” Criswell, 75, died Sept. 14, 2018, at his residence. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is entrusted with arrangements. Mr. Criswell was born June 5, 1943, in McShan, Alabama, to the late Calep Criswell and Mary Boothe Criswell. He was formerly employed with Sanderson Plumbing in Columbus and attended Liberty Baptist Church. Walter was a life long resident of Pickens County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Whitley; and brothers, Jack, Roy and Bill Criswell. He is survived by his wife, Diane Shirley Criswell; daughters, Sandy Jones, Julie McDaniel and Mary Criswell; son, Greg Criswell; sister, Jewel Sutton; brother, Jerry Criswell; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cody McDaniel, Caleb Criswell, Jimmy Hicks, Bob Jones, Brian Criswell, Teddy Ray Prescott and Debob McDaniel.
