COLUMBUS — Erma Lee Reeves Hamilton, 86, died Sept. 14, 2018, at Windsor Place. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel of First United Methodist Church of Columbus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is entrusted with arrangements. Mrs. Hamilton was born May 24, 1932, in the Bartahatchie Community of Monroe County to the late Susie Lee Nowlin and Dudley Reeves. She was a graduate of Greenwood Springs High School and attended Itawamba Junior College. She was formerly employed with Kerr-McGee/Tronox. Mrs. Hamilton was an active member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and later attended Wesley United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Basel Hamilton; brother, James Tilton Reeves; and sister, Eleanor Reeves Walters. She is survived by her daughter, Patti Thompson of Columbus; sons, Phillip Hamilton of Huttig, Arkansas; Mark Hamilton of Purvis; brother, Truman Reeves of Bessemer, Alabama; sister, Mary Sue Jones of the Bartahatchie Community; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 145 Executive Drive Suite 1, Madison, MS 39110.
