COLUMBUS — Lucille Malone, 85, died Oct. 17, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Yvonne Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Malone was born April 4, 1933, in Ethelsville, Alabama, to the late Emmitt and Mary Ferguson. She was formerly employed as a seamstress with Seminole Manufacturing and was a member of Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie G. Ferguson and Rube Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Donna Robinson and Harold Malone, both of Columbus, Amye Scales of Sedalia, North Carolina and Carolyn Jacobs of Mobile, Alabama; siblings, Lona Ward of Columbus, Pearlie Carr of Reform, Alabama and Roy Ferguson of Macedonia, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Sheddrod Alexander Wilson, Matthew Jared Jacobs, Christopher Jacobs, Darrell Robinson, Nicholas Scales, Shancy Edinburgh and Robert Moore.
