COLUMBUS — Georgeanne Brownlee Green, 80, died Nov. 30, 2012, at her residence. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 12-2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Green was born Aug. 7, 1932, in the New Hope Community of Columbus, to the late George Washington and Louella Robertson Brownlee. She was a 1950 graduate of New Hope High School and attended MSCW. She worked many years as a vocational training instructor for the Acts Center of Columbus and Ellisville State School System. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Green Jr. She is survived by her sons, George B. Green III and Carwin E. Green, both of Columbus; daughter, Luanne Green of Columbus; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Victor Lancaster, Vernon Gregory, Andy Pettit, George Smith and Carl Edwards. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39703.
