SULLIGENT, Ala. — James Knight, 100, died Nov. 30, 2012, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, Ala. Services are today at 1 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with Bros. Brett Ballard and Mark Otts officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation is today one hour prior to service time at the church. Otts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Knight was born April 19, 1912, in Lamar County, Ala., to the late B. M. and Daisy Gilliland Knight. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. He worked as a truck driver for many years and previously worked for the city of Sulligent as a dispatcher and at the Lamar Leader. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Irvin Knight; brothers, Flois, Pete, J. D., Elmer and Raymond Knight. He is survived by his daughters, Betty Otts of Baton Rouge, La., and Annette Ballard of Sulligent; brother, E. D. Knight of Detroit, Ala.; and sister, Kathleen Otts of Detroit. Pallbearers are Steve Ballard, Craig Otts, Scott Otts, Chris Jackson, Tim Otts and Malone Knight.
