OBITUARY
Jerry Hays
Jerry Allen Hays, 61, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012. Dr. Shawn Parker officiated a graveside service at Asbury Cemetery on Saturday, December 8. Jerry was born April 23, 1951, in Columbus Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Eula Mae Hays. He enjoyed attending Woodland Baptist Church. Jerry worked at the ACT Center for many years. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid MSU fan. Jerry was a twelve year resident of Vineyard Court Nursing Home. Jerry is survived by his brother, Billy Hays (Rosemary) of Columbus Mississippi; niece, Mary Katharine Hays (Kevin) of Enid, Oklahoma; and nephew, Patrick Hays (Brittany) of Caledonia, Mississippi. Memorials may be sent to the “Because He Lives Campaign” at First Baptist Church of Columbus or Gideons International.
