RACINE, Wis. — Leroy Oakley died Dec. 25, 2012, in Racine. Graveside services are Monday at Stallion Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until noon at Carter’s Funeral Services Chapel. Mr. Oakley was born Sept. 21, 1944, to the late Mattie Lucille Oakley and James Thomas. He was employed with J.I. Case of Racine as a grinder and chipper. He was a former member of the Providence M.B. Church before leaving Columbus. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Mae Tyler. He is survived by his children, Leroy Oakley, Mary Payne, Mattie McCormick, Vanessa Gardner, Alonzo Payne, Torcivia Daniels, Twiwan Ronnie Payne, Reginald McClain, Leroy Oakley Jr., and Erica Oakley; siblings, Alonzo Caine, Roosevelt Sykes, Margaret Butle Bolton, Eloise Pounds; 35 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Pallbeares will be friends and family.
