OBITUARY
Dorothy Morris
VERNON, Ala. — Dorothy Lou Morris, 91, died Jan. 4, 2013, at Generations of Vernon. Services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home with James Walden officiating. Burial followed in Union Chapel in Vernon. Ms. Morris was born May 4, 1921, in Lamar County, Ala., to the late Luther and Lou Ella Collins. She worked as a LPN nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Haynes and Bill Morris; daughter, Eloise Hopper; brothers, Johnny Collins, Fletcher Collins and Robert Collins; sisters, Madie Newman, Ovella Rushing and Addie Mae Maddox. She is survived by her daughter, Lois Cash of Millport, Ala.; son, John Douglas Haynes of Gallion, Ala.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
