Michael Edwin Hayden, 58, died Jan. 3, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services with U.S. Air Force honors are Monday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is today from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hayden was born April 11, 1954, in New Port, Ore., to the late Edwin Jack and Mamie Akin Hayden. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his retirement he worked at the Columbus Air Force Base in the Defense Logistics Agency and Document Automation Production Services. He was a member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 69, a life member of VFW Post 4272, and life member of the DAV. He is survived by his wife, Yoorsaeng Noree Hayden of Columbus; daughter, Marie Yoorsaeng Hayden of Columbus; sons, Matthew Edwin and Michael David Hayden, both of Columbus; sisters, Donna Reed and Betty Anderson, both of New Port; and brother, Harold Sellers of New Port. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 69, 308 Chubby Drive, Columbus, MS 39705.
