OBITUARY
John Davis
STARKVILLE — John Henry Davis, 84, died Dec. 31, 2013, at his residence. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethel MB Church with the Rev. Lee Brand Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Century Hairston Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was born Jan. 20, 1928, to the late Henry M. Davis and Fannie Lee Johnson. He was formerly employed as a brick mason. Survivors include his sisters, LaSalle Franklin and Bessie Lee Brown, both of Memphis, Tenn., Idella Newell of Miami and Mary E. Mosley of Starkville.
