Terry Brian Williamson, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS. Visitation for Mr. Williamson will be Friday, January 25, 2013, from 6 – 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 10 AM at Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS with Bro.Dickie Dees officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Williamson was born April 6, 1938, to the late Hubert and Kathryn Caddell Williamson in Lowndes County, MS. He lived in Columbus his entire life. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS where he was the former chairman of Mt. Vernon Cemetery Committee and a member of Bud Lambert’s Sunday School Class. Mr. Williamson enjoyed dancing, working, tinkering and fixing things. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired in 2003 from Metso as maintenance supervisor after 40 years of service. Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife - Roma Williamson, Columbus, MS; son – Chad (Brooke) Williamson, Columbus, MS; daughters – Melanie (Brent) Drummond, Helena, AL and Tina Vann, Memphis, TN; sisters – Ann Waggoner, Indiana and Cherry (Rusty) Cook, Columbus, MS; brothers – Buddy (Barbara) Williamson, Columbus, MS and Steve (Judy) Williamson, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Yolanda Durrett, Kaia Nemeth, Kainen Nemeth, Kolson Nemeth, Claire Drummond, Myers Drummond, Berkley Williamson, and Landry Williamson. Pallbearers will be Dudley Reeves, Harold Williamson, Tom Younger, Larry Andrews, James Williamson and Joe Mims. Honorary pallbearers will be participants of the Saturday Night Jamboree, Aubrey Burns, David Lee, Jimmy Brownlee, James Bobitt, members of Rural Hill Community Club, members of Bud Lambert Sunday School Class, Dwaine Clark, Lewis Johnson, Rob Malone, Gary Moore and Eugene Dixon. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
