OBITUARY
Mattie Roberts
WEST POINT — Mattie Brooks Roberts, 90, died Jan. 19, 2013, at Dugan Memorial Nursing Home. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Third Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Willie B. Lairy officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Hill Cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel. Mrs. Roberts was born March 2, 1922, to the late Frank Brooks and Maudie Thomas Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Roberts; brothers, Eugene Brooks, Clarence Brooks, Willie Earl Brooks, Richard Brooks and J.T. Brooks; and sister, Secdonia Harris.
