OBITUARY
Hattie Brown
COLUMBUS — Hattie Will Brown, 90, died Jan. 22, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital–Golden Triangle. Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Prairie Chapel MB Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 12:30-5 p.m. at Century Hairston Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 31, 1922, to the late Jack and Alvester Gray. She was formerly employed as a nurse’s aid. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Brown; sisters, Ozella Ross, Virgie Taylor, Mattie Stokes, Ossie Lee Gray and Ray Lou Gray; and brothers, Ananias Gray, Jack Gray, Roosevelt Gray and Sylvester Gray. Survivors include her daughter, Theressa Payne; sister, Ida Lou Stevenson; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
