STARKVILLE — Hubert Hulon Pinnix, 87, died Feb. 6, 2013, at OCH Regional Medical Center. Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Mathiston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Pinnix was a veteran of World War II and he served in the European Theatre during the Battle of the Bulge and Ardennes Forest. He retired as a supervisor from Babcock and Wilcox. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lovick Pinnix Sr. and Clara Love Pinnix; brothers, Joe Lovick Pinnix Jr., Coy Pinnix and Paul Caldwell. Survivors include his wife, Reba Doris Reed Pinnix of Mathiston; sons, Phil Pinnix of Port Gibson and Barney Pinnix of Boise, Idaho; brother, Jimmie Pinnix of Grenada; sisters, Opal McAdams and Annette Shipley, both of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
