OBITUARY
John Gordon
COLUMBUS —John Henry Gordon, 74, died Feb. 16, 2013, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Tenth Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation is today from noon to 5 p.m. at Carter’s of Columbus. Mr. Gordon was born July 7, 1938, to the late Joe Nathan Gordon and Mary Ann Fenton Gordon. He was formerly employed with the City of Columbus. He was a member of Tenth Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Nellie Talley, Easter Mae Smothers, Lizzie Mae Lane and Joe Williams. Survivors include his siblings, Edna Newman, Lula York and Martha Wilson, all of Columbus.
