OBITUARY
Thad Gillis
STARKVILLE — Thad Gillis, 82, died March 4, 2013. Visitation is today from noon to 2 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. A private graveside service will follow at Starkville Memorial Gardens with Judge Alan Highers officiating. Mr. Gillis was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Bradley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired member of the Jolly Squares squares dancers. He was formerly employed with Mississippi State University. Survivors include his wife, Nan Nelle Bright Gillis.
