Mrs. Marie Cotton Abrams, 80, of Macon, MS passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Her funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Macon, MS at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Lynn Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday thirty minutes prior to the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Mrs. Abrams was born on February 25, 1933, in Winston County, MS to the late Jimmy Jack and Louise McCreight Cotton. She graduated from Shuqualak High School. She was married to Willie Joe Abrams who preceded her in death. She retired from United Technologies after twenty years service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Macon, MS. She enjoyed flower gardening, playing dominos and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was also predeceased by two daughters, Betty Jo Mason and Janet MarieAbrams; two sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Abrams is survived by a son-in-law, Tony Don Mason; granddaughter, Kayla Mason Fowler and husband Kevin; grandson, Stephen Paul Mason all of Clinton, MS; three sisters, Betty Jean Cooper of Columbus, MS, Dorothy Harvey and Alice Slawson both of Macon, MS.
