Frank G. Galinsky Jr., 47, of Kansas City, MO, died Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Kansas City Hospice House after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. Frank was born in Charleston, SC on September 29, 1965. His fatherís Air Force career afforded Frank the opportunity as a child to live in Las Vegas, Holland and Columbus, MS where he graduated from high school. He attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mississippi University for Women in 1990. He lived in New Orleans before moving to Kansas City in 1993 where his keen wit and charm allowed him to excel in sales positions with The Pitch, EBE, MMG Worldwide, and National Equipment Co. Frank was a caring and creative person who took great pride in painting for his friends and family. He also enjoyed cooking and took delight in providing his doctors and nurses with treats from his kitchen. He is survived by his father, Frank Galinsky Sr. and wife Heidi of Chambersburg, PA; mother, Karen Galinksy-Gibson and husband Jerry of Columbus, MS; sister, Charleen Whitford (Darrell) of Columbus, MS; brother, Bobby Galinsky of Houma, LA; stepsister, Peggy Reid of PA; stepbrother, Harro Barrante of IL; and friend and caregiver, Stuart Woody. The family appreciates the outstanding care provided by Dr. Stuart Hinton and the staff at The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 3, at Stine & McClure Chapel, 3235 Gillham Plaza, Kansas City, MO 64109 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frankís memory to the American Cancer Society or Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Memorial services will also be held Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Columbus, MS at Broadacres Methodist Church at 2:00 pm. with visitation at 1:00 pm.
