An article worth reading
Out of all of the articles I have read in The Dispatch, this article (Dec. 22, Other Editors: A different type of segregation)was well worth the reading. The so-called Republicans (I could call them a bunch of other names, but they would not be worth the ink to print) are using quite a few strategies to dilute the black vote. First they are breaking down the voting districts to their advantage, and they are using the voter ID to scare would-be voters (which it shouldn’t, because an ID is required to transact just about any everyday business).
But then I think back to an aunt of mine, who thought showing her ID was sacred. Then you have these DEMRUPS who runs for office on the Democratic ticket and win, and then immediately switch to the Republican Party. I don’t know about anyone else, but I call an individual that does that a snake in the grass.
If the editor of The Dispatch has the nerve to print this letter, I would like to advise everyone that voted for a politician that switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party after their successful election, to think hard and long about voting for that person again. A snake is a snake whether he has fangs or not, how can you trust a person that can not trust themselves? One more thing young black people, register to vote and vote. Your future is in your hands, even if there has not been much of a change, ask your great-grands what was it like before.
