More important things
Mr. Mayor, our state flag is not a problem you should be wasting energy on; however, it shouldn’t surprise me or anybody else after all the other disappointments we’ve seen.
Can’t you see what you’re doing anymore? What has happened to your campaign comment about “without a vision the people will perish?” Where did your “I’m a uniter not a divider” statement go? Most of us can plainly see that this flag issue of yours is going to cause division, not unite.
Most of us can also see that it is a diversion from the real problems in our “friendly” city, such as trees and shrubs growing over and into our streets, trash dumped in our streets and yards from cars coming from fast-food places, streets and gutters in need of repair, potholes and crime everywhere, just to mention a few.
Also, what about the 45 bypass you used to be all in favor of when you were just a plain, ordinary councilman? Have you lost your vision, Robert? Starting to look like it.
Helpful hints: You should go back to a five-day work week to begin with and start exerting your energy on important issues that should already be at the top of your “to do” list. I know of no one in our city and county who walks around all day worried and offended (angry) about our state flag. Put that at the very bottom of your list or remove it completely.
