Takes issue with editorial stand
To Birney Imes, re: Our View, Aug. 14 (Miss. should not fight challenge to its ban on same-sex adoptions)
There are very few children available for adoption. Highly qualified couples wait years to be approved. Have you ever tried to adopt a child? I have two adopted children so I know! They should only go to the best and most stable families available.
So who are you? Are you the new gay rights advocate for Columbus or you still claim to be a respected businessman? Are you the husband who appears with his wife in public or are you closet gay who sits in his office all day and fantasizes about two men engaged in oral and anal sex?
You published the picture of a poor black man on the front page for having sex with a horse. You did not send anyone to interview him to see if he loved the horse. You seem to think that if two gay people love each other, then everything is OK.
I am so disappointed in you and your staff for your new gay rights advocacy.
