I seldom wholly agree with Susan Estrich’s opinion concerning politics, but there’s a first time for everything. The GOP needs to put up or shut up. Forget the “do as I say, not as I do” routine. We are a nation of laws, without which we would have anarchy. There are many laws with which I don’t agree, but that does not give me the right to violate them. If you don’t like the law, work to change it within the system.
I do not approve of same-sex marriage or abortion upon demand, but both are currently the law of the land. The government has no business dictating who can or cannot or who must be allowed to marry, outside of children and animals because they are unable to consent. It is up to the church or justice of the peace to perform the ceremony. All the government needs to do is keep records for posterity.
GOP, adapt to the changing times while remaining fiscally conservative. Let God judge sinners when their time comes. Take care of this country, here and now, and for the future.
The liberal democrats, led by Obama and Clinton, are destroying America. God forbid that Sanders get elected, because that would be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
