City should put streets before walking trail
As a law abiding, tax-paying citizen, I must register a complaint that no more monies be spent for the Trail.
We have such deplorable streets and highways; it’s embarrassing, as well as detrimental to our vehicles.
A while back some streets in “some neighborhoods” were paved where others were not. I understand all could not be done at the same time, but when do we get back to taking care of the streets that get us to work, to the doctor, to the hospital, if needed, the grocery? The list goes on.
Our streets are our avenues to wherever we might be going. You have to constantly be on the lookout for potholes you can almost lose your car in. Striping is practically non-existent for many turn lanes. It’s a dangerous situation.
Street repairs are for the good of ALL — not just those persons who might use the Trail or the soccer fields. Not everyone is physically able to enjoy those areas; however, most all of us do use the streets, some on a daily basis.
I would sincerely ask our city leaders to please get city priorities in order — for all!
