Bad check unit
I noticed in The Commercial Dispatch how well the Bad Check Units were working. I run Sibley’s Collectible Shop in Columbus. A customer came in around Christmas 20l5 and bought two kids cartoon jackets for $80. The check he gave me came back, no funds, I turned this check and the information I had in to the Bad Check Unit by the Lowndes County courthouse. I have called on this a couple of times to no avail. The clerk said they sent a letter to the check writer and it came back, although I have information the person who wrote the check was seen several times walking around in the area the address on the check. The last time I called was about six months ago. No one has contacted me in regard to this since. Also talked to my councilman and one of the judges about this to no avail.
