Disappointed
Today, Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, I was disappointed, but not totally surprised, at your paper’s political cartoon, “Oh, Dear God, No!” and Slim Smith’s column “The dawn of American Fascism?.” Today the overwhelming majority of your readers are today extremely delighted with the results of the presidential election of yesterday, and, lo, you are motivated to insert your political bias to chastise us with your effete judgmentalisms.
Most of the “historical facts” mentioned in the column are half-truths and are a poor analogy of the thinking of your readership. While I recognize the articles are in line with the strong political drift of your newspaper, couldn’t you have given us at least one day to appreciate our nation?
