Let’s strive for non-violence
By now our new government has completed only two weeks. So much of chaos, polarization and division. But a noticeably hopeful sign: all of them are still nonviolent with no fatality out of actions or reactions.
If I think from my neutral standpoint, I feel the pain from both sides. I sympathize for the pink hat women’s march in Washington D.C. I also sympathize for the victims of Orlando/St. Bernardino or Chattanooga/Fort Hood army base shootings and other shootings around the world.
On the other hand, you have to understand the stress and pain when a Chicago doctor is stranded and his visa canceled in an UAE airport because he was born in Syria, though carrying a passport of UAE. I also see a bit violent protest at the UC Berkeley against a conservative speaker and the president tweeted to de-fund UC Berkley.
In science, we have an “entropy,” which is a measure of chaos or disorder and it always increases in the universe. Hopefully, after it hits the threshold limit, we may have peace.
